Race River, the developer of Integard has launched its award winning internet content filter in French due to an increase of online threats in languages other than English.
It has become evident that the number of children and adolescents falling victim to the dangers of the internet is rapidly increasing. Due to the lack of time for supervising Internet activities and not using Internet filters, an alarming number of children are being exposed to unsuitable materials and online predators.
The technologically advanced and reliable software helps parents in protecting their children and adolescents while online.
The advanced yet easy to use Integard internet filter blocks inappropriate content, monitors chat conversations and supports multiple user profiles to cater for families that have children of varied ages.
It has configurable sensitivity, time and data limits, user-defined allowed and blocked lists and protects personal information. Integard blocks peer to peer file-sharing programs, and supports remote administration using a browser to ensure flexible parental control and monitoring.
Spokesperson for Race River, Mr Daniel Millerson said that potential threats on the internet are not exclusive to English web pages and online chat sites.
“We hear about online predators grooming children, cyber bullying and identity theft occurring over chat sites, however these threats are not limited to English speaking countries.” Mr Millerson said.
“Although there are internet filtering systems available in languages other than English, Integard is the first that offers such a high caliber of protection”. Mr Millerson continued.
Integard has been blocking inappropriate websites and monitoring chat programs since 2006.
